Here is my learning on Oracle SOA 12C Windows 8 installation.
- download Oracle SOA 12c Pack from oracle.com, which downloads 2 jars. fmw_12.1.3.0.0_soa_quickstart.jar and fmw_12.1.3.0.0_soa_quickstart2.jar
- Make sure you have jdk1.7.0_80 JDK installed. Higher version jdk has security issues while deploying composites.
- Open cmd as Administrator, set the Java Home to JDK folder. For example: SET JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_80
- cd to current folder where SOA 12c downloaded jar resides.
- Then issue the command: “%JAVA_HOME%”\bin\java -jar fmw_12.1.3.0.0_soa_quickstart.jar
- This will launch the SOA 12c Installation wizard, continue with defaults and provide desire installation folder name. During this installation, platform check fails with 6.2 version not supported. you can skip this and press Next.
Now first thing is first, Open Jdeveloper and configure Integrated weblogic for deploying SOA/OSB services.
- Go to windows, click on Application Server then right click on IntegratedWeblogicServer and click on Create Default Domain. Provide the desire username/password, Listen address & port. This wizard will start creating the default Integrated Weblogic domain.
- Once above task is done, Right click on Default Domain and click on Start Server Instance.
Now you are all set to build new SOA/OSB projects and start deploying to your integrated weblogic Server. Isn’t it cool!
Happy Learning!!!
